

MOISES GONZALEZ
Originally from Maracaibo (Venezuela), Moises is the Founder and Co-Director of Montuno Dance Company (Montuno DC) based in Calgary (Canada).
As an instructor, Moises is characterized by his fun, passionate and charismatic way of teaching and he is also known for his challenging and supportive way of coaching.
Moises has had the privilege of teaching, dancing and performing at numerous events and festivals throughout Alberta such as Expo Latino, Global Fest, Fiestaval Calgary - Latin Festival, Calgary International Salsa Congress, Edmonton Ballroom & Salsa Gala and the Rocky Mountain Grand Prix.
Moises is an approachable, fun and inclusive social dancer. With over 8 years of experience as an instructor and choreographer, Moises is recognized as one of Alberta’s best New York Style Salsa and Bachata dancers. He is known for his sabor Latino, clean lead, and cool footwork.
Outside Montuno, Moises is an instructor at SoundKreations, the top In-School Dance Residency Program Company in Canada. He has taught over 10.000 kids in over 50 schools across Alberta.
Most recently, Moises choreographed a dance scene for the Epix television series “Billy the Kid” (2022), starring British actor Tom Blyth, Daniel Webber, and Eileen O’Higgins and written by Vikings and The Tudors creator Michael Hirst.
